Our maintenance and cleaning advice
Cleaning aluminium
Cleaning steps
- Simply clean with water and a mild detergent (pH between 5 and 8). Abrasive sponges must not be used.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Never use a pressure washer.
- Wipe with a soft, non-abrasive and absorbent cloth.
Cleaning frequency
2 to 3 times a year, depending on how harsh your environment is.
Recommended care products for aluminium
- pH-neutral household or industrial cleaning products.
- pH-neutral glass cleaners and washing-up liquids.
Cleaning glazing
Cleaning steps
- Use plenty of clean water to avoid scratches caused by dust.
- Clean with a standard glass cleaner and a soft sponge. For grease or sealant residue, usual solvents such as alcohol or isopropanol may be used.
- Dry the glass with a squeegee, a microfibre cloth or a chamois leather.

Cleaning steps
- Clean with mild (lukewarm) soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or a soft brush.
- Avoid aggressive detergents and pressure washers.
- Dry carefully to prevent mould.

Cleaning steps
- Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air (to avoid creasing the fabric).
- Clean with a sponge and soapy water.
- Rinse with clean water.
- Let the fabric dry completely while fully extended.
Cleaning gate motors, locks and rails
Gate motors
Lubricate the inside of the cylinder with a cylinder-specific lubricant (do not use penetrating oil or grease).
Hinges and locks
Use a paraffin-type spray lubricant on the lock and the hinges once a year.
Sliding gate rail
Regularly clear the area around the rail (leaves, gravel, etc.).
